Home is Wonderful

I am so sorry there has been a delay for any new pics, but parenthood has been a HUGE adjustment for the both of us. We want to say thanks for all of the love and support from family and friends during our trip and since we have returned home. As you can see Bella has made the adjustment wih no problems at all. This has probably been a little harder on Mom and Dad than the Bella. Sat morning when all of our families attended our breakfast Bella fell right into place with her cousins just as if she were born to us and she had been here with us her entire life. Here are a few pictures of our baby girl in action. Here she is playing with here cousins, outside blowing and chasing bubbles, and last but not least eating. She loves to eat as you can tell by the last picture she does not even slow down eating even while she is talking on the phone. Once again we would like so say thanks for all the love and support.

Earthquake in China

Just wanted to let you guys know that we are ok. We did no feel any of the tremors here in Guangzhou from the earthquake that happened today in China. The epicenter was northwest of us, in Chengdu. Just wanted to let you guys know that we are fine and we will have more pictures posted in a little while. Oh yeah almost forgot we had our medical exam this morning she weighs 30 lbs or 13.5 kgs. We shopped all day on Shaiman Island and walked until we were give out. Some stuff you can get a good deal on some stuff you just cant. We had Papa Johns for lunch today delivered to our room McDonalds is next door, Starbucks around the corner, and 7/11 is down the Street. Other than people looking at us very funny this is not much different from home here in Guangzhou.

HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY

We want to say HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to our mom's Glenda and Judy. We wish we could be with you. I have had a wonderful first mother's day today. Bella gave me 2 charms for my Pandora braclet. They are so pretty and I was so surprised. She was so sweet this morning, singing happy mother's day, to the happy birthday tune. It was cute.

We had our first bath this morning without a meltdown. It was wonderful!!! We went to breakfast this morning. It was so good. They had a Mother's day special breakfast for us. All kinds of fruit and pancakes. It really did feel like home.

We love and Miss you,
Joy and Bryan and Bella

PS. Moma I know Bella will just love the tea set. Judy she will not go anywhere without the cell phone you gave her.

We are in Guangzhou!!

We are finally here in Guangzhou. After a small mishap at the airport. When we left Shenyang, we had a new guide take us to the airport. Well she did not speak english so we had a hard time findng out any information about the flight. She put us in line at security and then we were on our on. We where the ONLY American's on the flight and no one spoke English. When the plane landed we got off and went to baggage claim to get our luggage. Well we waited and waited...no luggage. While we waited, I changed Bella, and walked around for a few minutes. I really needed to go to the restroom, but the bathroom was completely unusable. I have never seen a public bathroom that disgusting. I decided to hold it until we made it to the hotel. Still no luggage. What could be happening? Have they really lost our luggage this time?? I watched them put the pink pokadots on the airplane below us from the plane window, so I know they where on the plane. So, I found someone to ask where are our bags??? The lady looked out or tickets and said 3 words, that scared me to death. THIS IS NOT GUANGZHOU!!!!! I said WHAT!!!! Then where the hell are we? She did not speak English, but she had a walky-talky in her hand, and started screaming something in Chinese to the person the other end, and then motioned for us to follow her. Bryan was like, What did she just say? I was screamning, I do not know for sure, I think we are in the wrong city. What?? We got off in the wrong city. Are you freaking kidding me. I know what you are thinking, but really we had no idea. Nothing was in English. No one told us we had a connecting flight to Guangzhou from Wenzhou. The lady was really sweet. She got us to the first of the line in Security and called ahead and had them hold our connecting flight, until the two clueless American's and their beautiful Chinese daughter got to the plane. As we walked back onto the plane the same flight attendances that let us get off the plane in the middle of a rice patty field, were smiling and welcoming us back onto the plane. When we got off the plane I had asked the attendant to fill Bella's sippy cup with juice. Well when we had to go back through security again, we only have like 2 minutes. They were holding the plane. Thee was no were to pour out the juice in the sippy cup, so Bryan either had to throw away the only cup we had for Bella our drink the contance. Bryan really took one for the team. He downed the whole dippy cup, and looked at them, like I dare you to say a word. It was priceless. On the plane they kept bring snake packs over to Bella. They were individually wrapped jerky. The kicker was they were "Fish Jerky". Bella loved them, and they smalled horrible. You can just imagine, dried fish smell. When we got off the plane in Guangzhou, we were so nervious. I had to go to bathroom so badly, but I needed to make sure we got off at the right city this time. When we got to baggage claim, I saw one of the tall Amercian men that was meeting up with us. It was a great site. I ran to the restroom. I know they thought I was crazy.

So 5 hours later we are now in Guangzhou. The Marriott is so nice. We are in hog heaven. Compared to where we have been staying for the past 6 days, we are so happy. We have met back up with several of our families and they are all so nice. All the the little chinese babies/toddlers. Too cute for words. Bryan has gone to McDonald's downstairs...yes I said down stairs...to get us some dinner. I can not wait for some fries and a Big Mac. I can not eat the Chinese food anymore. I got sick the first night in Shenyang, and I have not eaten it since. (mom the MSG is getting to me, heart racing and all). We took another picture when we got here for Bella's visa. I am not sure where all we are going tomorrow. Large group of people. Post more later.

Love and Blessings,
Joy, Bryan and Bella

PS. Bella loves to Fly..
